Just dropped a jaffa cake, looked left, looked right, quickly picked it up and scoffed it.

A wee bit of shite keeps the eyes bright.

Do you follow the 3 second rule?

Where Jaffa cakes are concerned I have a three day rule, possibly longer if no other biscuity, cakey confectionery is available.

Sure it won't kill ya to eat stuff if it drops on floor.

Scientists have studied this. There are different "safe" time periods depending on the material that the edible object is made of (like a hard candy coating vs a wet consistency, etc.), and how dirty the floor is.

I take those factors into consideration when eating compromised foods.

3 seconds is too long if I drop any food

More like 10 seconds in my house. A bit of bacteria is good for the immune system.

I shared a bucket of chicken with someone kinda famous in the dirty back yard of a club last year. A piece fell on the floor, he scooped it up, shrugged and ate it.

I then coined the term, Floor Chicken.

If it's a slice of bread landing butter side down on the front door mat, then no.

That's like saying you wouldn't go down on a woman because you didn't know who'd been in there.

Apparently the 3 second rule is actually true. Although it depends on the surface you drop it on.

As long as she's scrubbed herself with Flash floor cleaner it should be OK.

Never had the problem. The Jaffa cakes always hit on the back of the head on the way down.

Which is probably why I have the worst immune system. I wouldn't eat anything that missed the plate and fell on the table let alone the floor

In my house that's too slow, the dog would've caught it before it hit the floor

In Yorkshire you're too tight to buy a Jaffa cake, (says a Scotsman who lived in Yorkshire)

Anything dropped gets binned or given to the dogs, if they're allowed it.
