In all honesty I don't know if I've ever been blocked via the forums, but I have blocked some people who have despicable, condescending or plain rude attitudes to prevent them from ever being able to PM me.

Nah, I only ever counter-block on the rare occasions I actually notice I've been blocked. Private notes on the other hand are an unexpected form of amusement. I clicked on a profile the other day because I wondered if someone sounded like as much of a tosspot on their profile as they came across on a thread only to discover I'd already written 'Probably a twat' then 'Definitely a twat'. Which made me laugh.
