Do you delete them without reading them?

Do you even read them?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

If I've deleted them without reading them then I definitely didn't even read them.

I read the profile first then decide whether to ignore or not

Out of respect, we read them and we always reply, even if it's a no.

"1) No

2)Yes "

I think you'll find that's more or less 100% for men and the opposite for women solely due to one gets too many....and the other gets bugger all

No. They tidy themselves up eventually.

Yes. Even the ones I haven't. I can skim them pretty quick without having to open them to officially read them.

I try to read them but sometimes it can get a bit much so i have to bulk delete or hide my profile just to stop them.

I'm sure i missed a lot of amazing guys along the way but its just impossible to read everyone i just don't have the time.

I literally just found out the person doesn't know if you read them before deleting! I've been reading them before deleting so people dont get annoyed at a wasted effort!

Check profile. If I don't like what I see I just ignore. Might get round to deleting them, if not fab does it for me

Had a similar convo earlier.

We read them all and reply to anyone who has made an effort. If they haven't then we are more likely to ignore them.

This thread highlights the fact why so many get so disillusioned with the site the way many treat messages received.

Nice problem to have that you have the luxury of deleting unread messages....still get a tingling feeling when see that "1 unread" in the mail box.

"This thread highlights the fact why so many get so disillusioned with the site the way many treat messages received."

That's why I turned my filters on. That way people can't message me to get disillusioned in the first place. Took me a while of being on the site and feeling like I was honour bound to wade through ridiculous messages to figure that one out. Oddly enough, those didn't make me feel disillusioned either but that may just be me since I also don't tend to feel disillusioned when messages I send go unanswered.

Everyone is different, so some get disillusioned. Suppose it depends on empathy for others if people reply or not. We reply so at least they weren't left in limbo.

majority of mine are very short. they cba and i reckon they've either; given up on writing messages and just chancing it now, or they don't actually wanna meet but getting desperate, or they just spam everyone in the hope of success.

And hence why I apply filters so I no longer have to go through hours of admin every weekend replying to a message influx. Luckily those that got through in those early fab days had empathy for what it must be like on here from my perspective and were patient.

my filters are for guys ages 37 - 41, so a four year range. there's still a lot of guys on here in that category it seems. i turned all messaging off now, just cba to get any messages at all.

If the inital preview of the message piques my interest, I'll take a peek at the profile. If they look/sound kinda normal'ish I'll maybe open the message....

Gotta be honest, if I do, my usual reply is Thanks...

Never did manage to get 'Twin Peaks' into that load of drivel!

No and yes. To be honest if I spent my time on here sending messages I would have closed my account ages ago as 99.9% of the time it's pointless. You will enjoy Fab much more OP if you don't send messages at all.
