Is it me or would other fabbers expect to see a pic of the people you are arranging to meet before you actually meet up? Got very short shrift when I asked for a pic before setting off on an hours journey. Needless to say after I asked again I was then ignored. Surely it's common sense and also an element of safety as well for the ladies.

If they refuse to send a picture and you require one then they're not for you.

Some do meet without sharing pictures. It works for some and not others so do what feels right for you.

Yes I'd want pics. There's no way I'd agree to a meet without seeing what the person looked like first.

you would think its common sense, after all its not blind date is it...

I mean that's taking NSA to the extreme..

but you are assuming that they would be there to meet you at the other end, which is not always the case..

Its usually a good indicator that your going to travel for an hour for nothing.

I'd avoid anyone who didn't want to show themselves after showing interest...just odd really.

If someone didn't want to send a face picture, I'd be wondering what they're hiding. However, for some, it's how they roll so you just have to respect it and decide to meet them or not.

If it was a more informal , 'might bump into you in the club' when you are going anyway, then maybe not.

You'll get plenty of those, just remember the posters that do it, there's a pattern!!

But yes, to save a wasted journey, you're right in asking for a picture. We ask for a photo and mobile to speak, if they don't, we kick them into touch.

We only send face pic's once a meet has been made definite always say upfront that we are not going to send a face pic just coz someone says Hi.

Once a rapport has been established, we have read their verifications and got to know them as best as we can without meeting face to face.

Then we arrange a meeting.

However it's always subject to approval if they don't like us we are happy to be told so certainly not going to throw a hissy fit and get all stroppy.

If someone chooses to send us pic's without us asking that's their choice.

Besides face pic's can be doctored and photoshopped.

The proof of the pudding... So to speak.

We are more interested in if they have a brain in their head rather than a pretty face.

However both is a bonus.

The site has a hugely diverse range of people and needs. You make fab work for you in the way that you need it to do.

You need pics first - it's right to continue clarifying this. You'll meet dead ends where others won't fulfill it.

I've come against the same barriers with others. If nothing else, it emphasises that filtering is all - and that we improve this as we learn.

I wouldn't dream of meeting anyone without seeing a face pic. I ask for one early on in the convo and my profile states this. It saves time imo. No point chatting to someone for ages to then see a face pic and think 'oh'
