As we know, Britain is very conservative in our eating habits, but if you were in a country that eats cat or dog meat, would you have a try?

If I knew it was cat/dog probably not to be honest.....but then, how much do you really know about where your meat comes from? Look at the horsemeat scandal from a few years ago.....we all that was beef etc...

I've eaten wolf. It wasn't particularly pleasant to be honest.

It wasn't killed primarily for food, it was shot because it was attacking livestock but the person who shot it didn't want it's death to be wasted.

Would I eat dog or cat?

Not a chance, dogs are my favourite people.

MrWho.

if we consider it ok to eat certain animals only depends on what your culture tells you doesn't it?

All cultures are different to some extent. Not struck on eating cats or dog though.

I'm not a big meat eater particularly, I certainly don't need it to feel a meal is complete. However, I've eaten horse, goat, springbok, ostrich, alligator, crocodile, and various other animals. There is nothing on earth, starvation aside, that would make me knowingly eat a dog or cat. Firstly, they're family members, and secondly, they're carnivorous and probably taste rank.

I would try any meat if I could be certain it was kept & killed humanly. Because of this I would be very unlikely to eat meat in the countries that regularly eat cats and dogs. The treatment & killing of them is barbaric

Animals who are killed for meat in this country aren't even kept and killed humanly lol

I would try just about any meat if it was legal to eat it wherever I happen to be.

Shaz though, she won't even eat rabbit because she say's they are cute and fluffy so dogs and cats no.

No, I can't even bring myself to eat Pheasnt, I tend to stick to Chicken, Pork, Beef and Lamb.

When we are abroad I quite often eat vegetarian if I'm a bit dubious of the meat content in a dish, not so much that I'm against eating some meats just my brain says no, similar to when posed with an algebra question.

I think anyone who's been to Vietnam would have had dog meat, unwittingly.
