Galaxy note 4

My note four keeps locking up and turning off randomly. The only way to get it back on again is to remove/replace the battery and restart it (this is hit and miss too)

Ive been told it needs totally wiping and the phones software reinstalling.

Before i shell out hard earned £££s can i do this myself? Any help appreciated as it needs sorting.

Cheers

Isnt it just a reset in the options? Usually most phones can be wiped to factory settings and then comes back on like new id make sure everything is backed up to your drive or sd card though first

Have a google but honestly dont be paying out for it to be done, ask some of your tech savvy friends to help you.

Or maybe its time for an upgrade

Yeah how long have you had the phone? Most aren't made to last much more than a couple years imo.

seems that a lot of phones start to get niggly but manageable when the 2 yr contract date is nearly up

Can look after it well but the internals can fail as they arent built to last especially with daily usage, same as a laptop or pc they take a battering no matter how well looked after.

Not sure if it would be worth paying to have it fixed though as you may just get more problems in the future - definitely see if a tech savvy friend can help!

I would just get a new one ....the cost of getting someone to fix it ...may as well shell out for a new one

Wasn't the note 4 the one that set on fire...or am I mixed up with my phones
