Have you seen that hilarious video of the serious BBC interview with a professor interrupted by his kids and their Mum / Nanny?

It's been viral across social media all day and is definitely worth a watch

The best bit is the little 'un in the baby stroller walking in followed by the frantic mother / nanny

Some people online however are complaining that he's a bad parent for pushing his child away - and that he should have sat them on his lap, give them a hug and carried on.

My view? He's a little embarrassed and has not really done anything wrong.

Views? Bad parent or the PC brigade going mad again!?

The kid in the walker coming in was unexpected!

I dont think he did anything wrong, most parents have done the same when trying to get something done.

Course it's not. If I'm working on my laptop and the grandchildren disturb me I tell them to bugger off and let me get on with my work. I can't do that with one of them on my lap.

I don't think he was a bad parent, I've done similar myself when they were interrupting me.

Too many people think kids should be allowed to do what they want when they want and be praised for it. I think they need to learn that there's a time and a place.

I did chuckle at the baby in the walker zooming in. It was obvious that the kids were comfortable with their dad or they wouldn't have approached him confident that they were welcome.

The first appearance of the baby walker is hilarious!

The consensus on here so far is that he's responded totally appropriately - there are some online comments about how 'incredibly sad' it's made some people that he sent them away.

I was more shocked by the way the nanny/mother dragged the older child out. I think in her position I'd of picked my child up.

In a perfect world we all would pick the child up but life isn't perfect. Sometimes you think in your feet a d do what you think is the best/quickest/simplest option. She needed to get the kids out fast as she knew he was doing a serious interview. No one is perfect.

this is my view, it was hardly child abuse but some of the comments on other social media sites are really disparaging of the actions of both Dad and Mum/Nanny (delete as appropriate)

Definitely brightened my day though!

You're right no-one is perfect,but I wouldn't like my child being handled like that.

It was a pretty funny clip. People, especially on twitter, will complain about anything though. There are people out there just hovering over their keyboards waiting to be offended. If Jesus was filmed feeding the 5000 they'd complain about the health and safety standards, where the fish were sourced from, whether the bread was gluten free or not etc

It still doesn't make him a bad parent for pushing the child away therefor reaching said inquisitive child that it is not OK to interrupt daddy when he is working.

He didn't push his child to the ground. He gently tried to push the child out of the shot. Perhaps he didn't want his children on international news?

I seriously worry about the children we are raising for the future sometimes.

Oh dear Lord.... Call Esther ransom, a toddler cried because their mother removed them from a room they shouldn't have been in

they had to drag the. Hold be sure it did that Oh so famous thing all children do when they don't want to play ball.... Go limp and just not move.

Anyone can see how embarrassed the mother was about the situation and she just wanted to get the kids out of their pronto. Sometimes you have to act fast and then deal with the upset children later. Fact of life.

Just watched it again (i swear its the only thing currently on my fb feed!) and reckon mum was probably proudly watching hubby live on news on a tv in another room...then realises with shock that the kids have wandered off as she sees them appear on screen...hence her Dukes of Hazard esque entrance!!!

I divide my time between being a father, a worker, a husband, a brother, a son, an uncle, a friend and other labels.

This guy was working and did nothing wrong in my view. He was in worker mode for want of a better phrase.

He didn't push the child away, he held him/her back.

Ironically this dad is being critisised over the net for doing his job and providing for his children. Yet net mums sit their and make out like he is the devil!

That video was so funny! We were creasing up at it!

I love the way the nanny launches in on the floor at the end and closes the door.

Not bad parenting, just an embarrassing moment lol I would have done the same.

I thought it was funny when the little girl walked into the room and sat down and when he pushed her away, poor man was trying to concentrate on what he was doing i bet he was flustered same as his wife was. It would of just made him look foolish if he sat them on his lap and hugged them.
