Why do people feel the need to buy tickets to a big concert or gig just to sell them at a higher price and rip people off.

Already happened today with Eminem tickets. Lucky i got mine.

Makes me so angry these people.get away with this

People make a very good living out of it, there are companies that buy in bulk just to sell on at an inflated price. It ought to be legislated against or enforced, touting is already illegal.

They do it because they can, added to greed. They know that they won't get caught, and that there are people that will pay well over the cost price just to go see the artist they like.

Until the touts are stopped it will continue. Until people stop buying from them, they will continue to do it.

Greed.

Why do energy companies lure you in with 'deals' at 76 quid a month, then after first month, when you're tied in for a year, up it to £120.

There and to the left a bit

One of my pet peeves is that the likes of Ticketshafter, SeeTickets and the like are allowed to run and own what are effectively licenced ticket touting sites in GetMeIn, Seatwave, StubHub etc. - then allow people to buy four tickets for a gig, and immediately sell two of them for at least double the face value, effectively allowing the buyer to attend for free.

Add to that the booking fees these sites charge that are usually at least 15% of the sale price and the secondary ticket sale sites are creaming it in.

Sadly there is no easy answer to fix it, especially as the Government have so far refused to legislate in any way, and their last review recommended the ticket sale sites self-govern which is a joke!!

I really can't think of anyone I'd pay over the odds to see. Most of the time you end up watching it on a big screen anyway.

harrow

If I ever get a spare for a normal football game, I always sell it on for face value

At the euros we had a spare and we did add a markup mainly to put off the twats that would have purchased it at face value - it wasn't silly markup it was double the euro amount on 20 euro ticket
