...when you become an adult!

They don't warn you that you will get to a stage in your life when your parents revert back to behaving like belligerent children, usually around the same time as your own children are hitting the same stage!

Urgh, I didn't sign up for this many tantrums.

What else have they "forgotton" to warn us about?

That parents still worry even if you are an adult yourself...I still have to check in once I get to a festival to say I got there ok....at 47!!! It's a nice feeling though

They didn't warn me that all the things i passed away as rubbish when I heard them talk, or rolled my eyes at the crap that adults used to warn me about.....it's the same shit I'm telling other people now.

That there are times when being a grow up stinks, and if you are looked at to be the responsible adult you want to look for someone more adulter.

Its nice to know they still care/worry about you, When I first moved out of my parents home I used to get a phone call every other day asking how I am, I politely asked her to cut back on the calls, She gets around it by phoning other family members asking have they heard from me
