I read that there's a huge increase in impotence of very young males because their expectations of sex aren't what they imagine.

The answer... Better sex education in schools. Teach children and young adults the realities of sex, relationships and body shapes.

I think pornography always warped some mens expectations. To an extent I feel that if women don't ask for the kind of sex they want the expectations will remain.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Too many men think fingerblasting is all it takes to have us squirting like Niagara. They must have got that from somewhere.

Porn actresses are paid to make faces and noise. Doesn't mean they're enjoying it.

I think it hard for youngsters growing up with it, differentiating between what actually hapens and what is a portrayal of other peoples fantasies.

I think younger men are more affected by it as they appear to have unrealistic expectations ..

the amount of profiles I've seen from the younger generation saying 'looking for someone to wow me' or similar words, is unreal

"I think younger men are more affected by it as they appear to have unrealistic expectations ."

This I can agree with! I mean I watched porn as a kid and was massively disappointed as I though it always took about 10 mins for a plumber to turn up and they had a naked bird answer the door naked and dribbling.

Fucking three years of collage wasted I tell thee!

False, I'm of the technology generation and the whole idea that porn is where guys get their expectations from baffles me.

It's no different to saying kids who play violent games are more violent.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

There was a BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat special on pornography last year. They played it on the PM Show on R4 too. It's been taken off the iPlayer though.

It was on the back of an NSPCC report that found young people have become desensitised by porn, seeing it as a realistic portrayal of sex that they would like to copy. Not all, of course, but significant numbers.

I think there will always be people who can't or won't differentiate between what they see on screen and actual life. I know people who discuss Eastenders as if it's a documentary for instance and one friend in particular who talks about Elvis as if she knew him. Hopefully the majority know that whats on screen is fantasy.

I was horrified what my daughter thought normal sex was, 16 old boys thinking anal was run of the mill? The young think porn is the norm, and real?

The difference between those two things is, it's obvious normal people don't run round firing rocket launchers, as they can see what happens in the streets around them.

But how does a young inexperienced person know what really happens in the bedroom?

Listening to young women talk about accepting abuse and worse because that's what they are 'expected' to do to meet the expectations of their boyfriends. That sort of sexual failing?

When I was a young teenager our sexual role models were from magazines. Our expectations were wildly unrealistic and romanticised. Women were docile, passive partners, coy and undemanding sexually. I think that was quite damaging

You might drop lucky and find some bloke who won £50 on the horses, who still lives with his mom and will take you for a spin in his Vauxhall Corsa if you promise him a gobble

Because I'd hazard a guess that they would realise a woman wanting a 5 man anal gangbang and then have everyone cover her in cum is a bit out there.

I've always thought when these threads come up, young people are thought of as rather stupid.

Good point! For myself my main point of reference was chatting to people on a website similar to fab (and the odd sex scene on tv) which birthed a whole load of curious fantasies.... took a while realise there is an ocean between fantasy and reality

I dont think anyone is implying young people are stupid.

The 5 man anal gb is more obvious to most. But what about the plethora of other stuff, choking, spitting, cum in face etc etc etc? What is acceptable and what is porn acting?

We've been together since 16, a lot of of our friends are the same. Sex is something openly talked about. And rather than the assumption that things are just copied from porn, I've never heard anything like that. Of course we all experiment but that comes with time in general.

There probably is people who expect sex to be just like porn, but the vast majority won't.

I would say it's more a case of ignorance to be honest. There are far too many people of various ages that are more concerning in themselves than anyone else with a "sod you jack I'm alright" kind of attitude. Regardless of wether you're on a site such as fab or not as a male you should always show some respect and to form a realistic expectation through some common sense amongst other things.

It's my belief that it's less down to the pornography itself and more down to the lack of social interaction. I mean I can have a conversation face to face with someone and I'd like to think I'm good at reading a situation and without social skills you simply can't understand or connect with others emotions and even their body in the sane way as someone with good social skills.

Thats my view anyway but others may disagree
