Well someone started a thread about the first record you ever bought, but have you noticed the number of "old fashioned" sweetie shops opening.......! What is your faviourite sweets or fond memories of sweets......... I remember swapping a kiss for a cola cube at junior school!!

Couldnt stand the smell of pineapple chunks. yuck.

My sister used to eat them along with herbal drops.

The smell still gets to me even now.

Can smell one at 50 paces.

curly wurlies...boy i hated them and still hate anything cadburys...my mum used to work there and used to come home stinking of warm chocolate. to this day cannot eat cadburys chocolate.

here in tamworth we have an old fashioned sweet shop that has been there since the year dot

its still run by the same little old lady still has all the sweets we remember as kids in the glass jars on shelves

and she still mesures them out in quaters and puts them in a paper bag

its a real blast from the past brings back all my child hood memories and the shop is still very popular today as there is always a queue out side the shop on a saturday morning

They have a real shop in morecambe just up from blackpool as well

Saw things in there that made me feel old lolx

"sweet peanuts, sherbet lemons, and cherry lips still buy them now but online shop. Used to love little square floral boiled sweets but cant get them for love or money lol

They have a real shop in morecambe just up from blackpool as well

Saw things in there that made me feel old lolx"

Wow, just found a true old fashioned sweetie shop on line.......... why didn't I think of that before, not quite the same as "being in a sweetie shop" and everyone in there saying wow do you remember ......... xyz (or what ever!) - Thanks guys

Np the actual shop is amazing lol

We bought some sports mixtures and loads of other things we had not seen in ages enjoy lol x

Liquorice pipes - ever seen anything so daft, they only do straight pipes now, they don't even look like pipes, when I asked the women selling them, she said we were lucky to have pipes at all with all the "no smoking" stuff going on!!

So does eating a liquorice pipe that looks like a pipe make people want to smoke tobacco...........!!
