Hi.

I have fat, wobbly thighs and am struggling to find stockings where I don't get a bulge of fat at the top of the stockings.

I've illuminated hold ups as most come with silicone type stuff which obviously stick to my thighs resulting in squashing the fat and making the bulge worse.

Any suggestions of shops/brands would be most welcome please.

I find wide/deep lace top hold ups help avoid this problem. Ebay.

Kixies are a great brand of hold ups for big thighs. They used to be on Lovehoney but they don't seem to do them anymore and can't find them!

Only two ideas I can think of are try and stretch out a normal pair a little... I find mine normally fit better after a few wears (I have muscular legs that stretch them) or try my personal fav look and go for longer ones that come right to the top of your leg rather than mid thigh?

Oh I don't know. I thought it was a great point to get across. It was contrary to what was already there.

I could have put a thumbs up on the Primark one but took the ipertunity to show off my gorgeous fluttering eyes,

I actually like ladies when they show there bare legs off. I thought it was worth me saying. But you put me straight.

Thank you everyone, I will check out all your suggestions

I've tried stretching them-doesn't work.

Also ordered from Ebay but the quality was poor, the lace tops ripped before I even put them on (they were very cheap though)

Failing that, I will resort to wearing none again!

I have the same problem but coupled with short legs, I can get away with stockings at home for sex but never been brave enough to wear them out. Will take a look at some of the recommendations

Hello Boots,

look at Stockings HQ website, they have a huge range and will give advice. Ensuring you get the right size is important (not a one size fits all, they don't) especially the length, they should be high up on your thigh. Also a six strap belt is better to hold your stockings up and more comfortable

I'm afraid I'm gonna do the same here, cause Mrs boots I don't see how you would get a bulge at the top of your thigh, you appear to have nice slender legs in your pics.

The stockings I currently have are from love honey but they are hold ups. Maybe I need to try stockings with a suspender belt from there.

This made me chuckle and you're very right not to assume but this is the Miss!

Although I'm a size 10, I do own very big thighs. It's in the family!!!!

A wee tip for you Boots,

If you have some plus size hold ups and they are a bit loose...spray the area of thigh where the silicon band sits with hairspray 1st

Yes, I've got some all in ones (stockings, suspenders and belt) and they are fine. Crotch less are definitely worth trying though. Thank you. X

People with larger thighs do tend to struggle. Have you thought of going with FF stockings? They can be a bit on the expensive side, but as they are volumetric and don't rely on stretch, they could eliminate your difficulties. Try stockingshq, a very good online shop.

What is ff stockings? I'm looking at that website now-I'm struggling though. My height is 5 foot 4 so the size is coming up as xs/s. If I go up a size surely they will be over my arse!!! The plus sizes are for heavier women than me so it seems.

FF Fully Fashioned or more commonly known as proper stockings. Go for the next larger size than your height would recommend, that way they should fit snugly on the thigh, and there shouldn't be any "wobbly" bits. A proper multi strap suspender belt helps as well.....those 4 strap plastic grip ones are just no good.

Try Big Bloomers. I get mine from there. Absolutely great. They have got extra wide thighs as well as wide thighs and they are good quality. They also stay up.

I tried all sorts of plus size stockings and most were no good. They cut in and as I'm 6ft they were like pop socks on me

If you're feeling a tad insecure, don't roll them so high. Go below the bit you think it starts to bulge. Flattering and you'll feel less meh

Definitely the Big Tights Company. They ask you to choose the size according to the measurement of your thighs. Its the only place I have found them to fit. A little pricey but really worth it. Their Prague Lady hold ups are the best.

I agree, I also prefer to see skin on women. I don't usually wear stockings or tights, to be honest I rarely dress up in underwear but rather than walk around in a towel in dress down clubs, I thought I'd give it a shot! Just finding items that fit/suit

If you find the answer, let me know, I've tried the lot. I recently bought a 5xl pair that actually came right to the top of my legs but rolled down constantly.
