Age preferences

Really like younger men. I tried going on a date recently with an older man (for the first time in ages) and felt like it was a complete mismatch. And every time I try it never feels right.

In general, don't date or fuck anyone older than me, or even my age. Seem to be far more compatible with men 5-10years my junior. From physical attraction, to everything else... I'm quite playful sometimes.

Though I wonder if there isn't something a lil unusual about that. Or is it a lot unusual? Should I be concerned about it?

I generally wouldn't meet anyone below 25, that's too young for me.

I've got it written on my profile aswell.

I've only ever met below that age twice.

Every single person I've actually dated has been my age or older.

I know what you mean. I always liked younger guys and my past relationships have always been a reflection of that.

Since joining fab, I haven't really maintained that for NSA but in a relationship I don't think I could date someone older than me.

Nothing unusual about it at all OP, we all have our preferences based on experience, personal taste and other factors. So as long as you are comfortable with it then why worry?

I'd personally find it very difficult to relate to someone hugely younger than me, which is why I have my age preferences set as they are. That doesn't mean they're not flexible, as there could be people outside those preferences where there is a connection, but generally speaking I think they're set about right, and that at the end of the day is no different from what you're doing.

The reasons why some people are only attracted to people in a very specific age range, is not pure physical attraction. It's an emotional neurosis.

As good as that seems. There is a downside when it comes to finding compatible relationships in normal life. And the older they get. The harder it becomes.

Yep, I know what you mean. It isn't just physical. And yes the downside is true, most times it just won't translate to something longer term and meaningful :/

Doesn't sound awful at all, and as an "older man" I'm in no way offended by it either, any more than I'd be offended by someone saying they prefer blondes, or toned bodies or VWE - it's not just the way of Fab to have preferences or particular things you're attracted to, it's the way of the world!!

How can two people with very different life experiences, genders and outlooks be judged on their ages.

You feel confident and content with younger men.

Note I said MEN. You are a woman going out with a MAN.

As a couple we differ on this. I am attracted to older men and women around my own age. He, in the other hand, likes younger men and women. Not very young though, I guess maximum 15 years younger than him at a push.

Aww.. thanks for saying! Cause sometimes I really wonder about myself with that one. I do get some judgement sometimes for my preferences, in general. But...Especially when people who care about you ask you why? sometimes it makes you stop and question yourself!

I prefer older men... through fab I've talked to men ranging from mid-30s to early 50s. I generally like men to be mid-30ish, but occasionally there's an exception.

i don't think it's that unusual, my relationships and fucks have been with guys younger than me for 20 years now. i'm trying older guys now, prefer around my age but willing to give older guys a try in case i'm missing out there.
