they do it all the time in the sttes, Krispt Creme sponsor a lot of hgh school tournaments etc

plus McDonalds have been sponsorsof the olympics for years, not just 2012

On the other hand, the Catering company for the Athletes accommodation units etc, is Sodexo; whom I worked for until 3 months ago.

isnt McDonalds a major sponsor of football as well, really dont understand why this is such a shock to everyone!

McDonalds are a huge corporation, yes i don know that their food is fast food/junk food etc but to compensate that they have, for a long while now, been sponsors of major sporting events as well as smaler more local sport initiatives.

companies have done it for years, i remember doing my coca-cola gymnastics badges when i was little - imagine that, full fat sugery sponsoring a national gymnastics programme

also, lots of beer companies sponsor football teams and rugby teams etc - surely thats iresponsible?? promoting drinking etc (although one faction cant get alcohol served at their grounds )
