Wifi and the churches in the countryside

I heard on the news earlier that they might consider to give churches wifi so that the countryside can get connected, they said it would be on top of the towers at the highest ground.

They argued that they shouldnt disturb the dead and they compared it to gyms having coffee shops, what is your view and can the countryside get wifi another way? I dont agree with it because it is good with a wifi free zone and to respect the spirits.

I disagree, everywhere and everyone should have the ability to access the web. Then again I do work in the telecommunications industry.

Some do have it as you can have a coffee after the workout.

yeah i like a brew when i get there sometimes as well.

anyway, they could ask the dead people to give them a sign of whether they are ok with wifi near them. that'd get interesting i reckon.

But you said about respecting the spirits and it upsetting them?

Anyway, there'd still need to be fast broadband to the church, so wouldn't the rest of the village have good internet too?

Yes, so it would be good with a no zone as its rare these days, not sure how they would get the connection, but it sure would need to be a very strong signal.

There and to the left a bit

Think it's a great idea personally, and really don't see how it would mess with spirits/the dead/be disrespectful etc - at the end of the day which would you rather a discreet wifi transmitter installed outbof sight on a church spire/tower or another transmitter mast like the mobile networks use?

Because they're the ones in a dead zone.
