"I'll be the party pooper. I work in the movie industry (behind the scenes) and I can tell you that pirate movie sites are killing the independant movie makers. The banks won't lend them the money because they know that if the movie's any good, it will quickly be pirated and the revenues won't appear. Not that anyone outside the industry gives a fuck." Whilst in part I agree with you. When movies stop making grotesque profit, whilst still paying grotesque salaries to the actors, and cinema's stop charging grotesque amounts of money, and that reduction is therefore passed on to the consumer, I.e. Paying to watch or buy a movie, then the increasingly growing trend of streaming, torrenting, pirating, I'm sure will be massively reduced.

Oh, and forgetting to mention tv licences (whether you watch the bbc or not) or ridiculously overpriced sky/virgin etc etc prices too.

Is grotesque' only what you define it to be? We also work as creatives and just loath it when we see our hard work stolen or knocked off. Get your wallets out and pay.
