Do you know what's causing it and can you change that ?

And do you mean sad or to the point where you should seek medical advice?

I would change your status, it reads like you are looking for a meet based on your current mindset

Unlikely to end well

The exercise thing really does work. The flip side is when you are down, you are not motivated to try. Find a mate to walk/run with. Loan somebody's dog to make the walk more motivating.

Try to work out why you are feeling down and see if you can slowly change your mindset, if there is a specific thing, often there isn't.

Someone mentioned exercise and that is a fantastic tool for releasing happy feelings.

If you have close friends or family, confide in them. Don't be afraid or embarrassed, tell them how you are feeling.

Make an appointment with a therapist. From talking to you they are really good at establishing the causes and triggers for the depression and will give tools you can use to fight off the low feelings.

Try to sleep at night, it's the worst time for negative feelings to overwhelm you.

Learn to love yourself, it's not easy I know but with the right steps you can.

My best wishes to you.

If think you may feel better by just telling someone how you feel, and sort of sorting it in your own head (so to speak). The Samaritans are excellent listeners. You don't have to be suicidal to justify ringing them. They will listen and not give any advice, if that's what you want.
