Just a thought but how about having a 'like' button for a post you like. The mods could make it so that the more likes you receive the more you move up the ladder to becoming a hardened swinger.

When you first join and post in the forum's you could start off as say 'vanilla' and each like or quote could earn you a point until you become hardened swinger or whatever the phrase would be.

It would be a good way to show people who have been here the longest and who contributes in the forum's. Likewise a dislike would deduct a point and would keep the wums trolls and idiots on check as everyone would see what they are doing.

Just a thought like I say.

People will vote dislike out of spite or because the person is a twunt.

People will like those they want to fuck primarily; on occasion those with a good post.

More people will post attention seeking threads to show how they aren't like the rest of the forum, they like x, y and z in order to gain likes.

There will be more inane posts designed to reveal how 'risqué'they are in order to gain likes.

I think a tag to show post contributions and time on fab would be great. A like and dislike button? Nah.

As others have said I can see where you're coming from OP but do think it would be too open to abuse in both directions. If I see a post I particularly agree with or think is worthy of a "like" I tend to hit the "Reply & Quote" button and tell the poster so.

Do think it would be good to have a post count and actual date of joining on your profile though. That said the post count is pretty irrelevant for the majority of site users, as us forumites are in the minority.
