I just tonight finished The Night Circus.

I'd like to read The Girl With All the Gifts next but some idiot (me) put it at the bottom of a 7 foot tall pile of books. I'll probably read something nearer the top instead.

With my monsters the last book we read was Woof and we're currently reading some tripe from the Sea Quest series. Chosen by them because it had a shiny crab on the cover just like Tamatoa (curse you Disney for your catchy songs and lovable villains). Next up will likely be a re-read of Fortunately, the Milk by Neil Gaiman.
