When you really miss someone but pride takes over and you fight the urge to contact them, such a shit feeling, you know one text will fix it all at least for a another wee while but are too proud to initiate it.

Is it better to succumb to your feelings or stay proud and stand your ground?

Depends on the situation.....currently going down that route myself just now! Think I am just going to cut all ties as too many chances given

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Pride or not wanting to be hurt/rejected?

Maintaining dignity is important but not at the expense of your own happiness.

Yes there is an element of that too but more pride in the sense that if am as important as they are to me why should I make the first move although in all fairness the last time we fell out said person did initiate contact, this makes it harder I feel like maybe it's my turn now, maybe that's what they want to feel missed.

Game playing in this sort of scenario usually leads to no one being a winner. Move into adult mode and have an honest conversation.

If you want to contact someone and you know they don't want you to contact then don't. If you don't know what they are thinking then ask them. If they don't contact you back or tell you to back off you have an answer. Or, they might just say that their own 'pride' prevented them from contacting.

Pride comes before a fall, if you have feelings for that person contact them, that way you have done all you can, regrets are horrible and from what you have said its your turn to swallow your pride

good luck

If I really miss someone and we haven fallen out over something and nothing I will always attempt to build bridges

If I really miss someone who has made a fool of me, there is not a cat in hells chance I'd be back in touch

Hell would freeze over first

Depends on how much you like them and circumstances ....if you really really like them ...go for it .... you aren't here for much longer in this life so go forth and enjoy life

Pride or stubborn?

Do you want this person in your life? If so have a mature conversation with them and both resolve not to play the I'm not talking to you game again.

Good luck whatever you decide.

That's pride fuckin' with you. Fuck pride! Pride only hurts, it never helps. You fight through that shit. 'Cause a year from now, when you kicking it in the Caribbean, you gonna say to yourself, "Marcellus Wallace was right."

Depends on how badly you miss them and value them as a friend etc..

you probably already know the answer to your question..

pride can be like an over sized ego, but wont keep you warm in bed at night and hold out its hand for walking somewhere..

life really is too short for such things..

Och deep down I know it will blow over it always does eventually, been through all sorts over the past 7 years, she's the crazy to my madness, soul mates for life I just pure hate it when we don't talk for weeks sometimes months. I could have the whole world's attention but sometimes i only want hers. Think everyone has someone like that in their lives.
