had a fmaily brunch today for fathers day and we started talking about different food cultures etc

we are fairly adventurous in our household (my nephew did a bushtucker trial when he was 4 by eating a meal worm!!)

so....if you were traveling the world, would you embrace the different food cultures or would you look for the golden arches???

I do like to try other world cuisines but am suspicious by nature so tend to go for the veggie options rather than try meat products or fish ..yuck.

Watched a programme with gordon ramsey and he was in vietnam and china and such and those folk eat anything that crawls....jeez....not for me im afraid.

i'd like to think i would try most things once, might give 100 day old eggs a miss though if i ever go to china

just been watching the HSBC dvert where the street vendor sprinkles a skewer full of crickets with hundreds and thousands so the little girl will eat it, i'd probably try that

I think id have to sniff it first and then touch it with the tip of my tongue

respect to your nephew I did the same and ate a live meal worm once for a dare, had to wash it down with vodka though,I doubt he did that as well

I am Chinese and I eat almost everything!

Have not eaten insects yet, however, if they are fried to a crisp, caramelised, or salt and peppered etc., then I would give them a go!
