As it's Father's Day, fill in the blank, as is personal to you.

Mine: Thank you Dad for giving me your fiery temper, your outlook on life, and teaching me to be a fiesty, independent woman who doesn't take any crap

Thank you dad for marrying my mum, adopting my sister and I and never ever raising your voice or a hand to me while growing up.

Thank you for waiting outside the weekly disco/night-club outings and running all my friends and I home at stupid-o-clock. xxxx

Being so welcoming when I eventually was inspired to look for you.

Thanks also must go to Mike and the Mechanics for giving me that inspiration.

For not getting mad when I crashed the car, for making me a bacon sandwich when I broke up with my first boyfriend, for my love of wine and cooking and for always being at the end of the phone, and for generally being wonderful. Best dad ever.

By him!

Thanks Dad for treating me like your own and doing the things you did with me. Thanks also for creating another birthday for me in celebrating the day I chose to take your name as an 18 year old, how sad that we never saw another of those together. 33 years have passed but I still think of you often, rip x

thank you dad for everything. no one could wish for a better dad than you. Kind, caring, compassionate, but also disciplined, with strong values that you have passed down to me and my 2 sisters. i like that we are more than father and daughter, we are friends, rugby buddies and someone i enjoy spending time with.

i dont say it often enough but i love you so so much xxx

Thankyou dad, where do I start....

For making me the person I am today!

I know at times you have found it hard to say I love you, but you have always been there, and I thank you for that.

Although I don't always say it I am proud to be your daughter and I love you so much xx

Nina xx
