do I change the tap and hope I finish before the grand prix or do I watch the GP and try and finish changing thetap before I lose my temper afterwards?

I'd watch the GP 1st then change the tap - If you start to change it then bollox the job, there'll be no water and you won't get a cuppa while watching the tele

I do plumbing as well as gas lol (dont do tents though)

That sounds like a good all around solution - taps can be notoriously difficult blighters to change, especially if it's an old bath tap and you ain't got a tap wrench to undo the bak nut. So yes, best plan - let someone else do it and you enjoy the GP
