ISP's and downloading torrents

is your ISP stopping u from downloading ..I'm about to change and didnt want to end up with one will stop me downloading files ..

not necessarily. although proxies will work they're usually slow i find, i don't use paid ones.

every time they block a site it's up and available on a different http address. you just need to find the new place.

You can use proxy sites to get around your isp's filter

Torrents and file sharing in general have been dying for years now

Think pirate bay is the only major tracker left

thats what i do now im currently on talktalk.. my mate whos with virgin says he still has trouble , tho maybe hes doing something wrong

depends on the site i suppose. i'm mostly using sites to watch films, they tend to be replaced quickly.

for music i can nick whatever, nobody blocks that stuff anyway.

yes ive used that before ..cant remember why i stopped using it .. guess i found another way round the blocks

It wont be long before all kodi streams will be blocked so all your firesticks and android boxes will become obsolete,all the isp's have signed up for it

yes but you dont just have to use torrent as there is other ways to get what you want.

there is emule morph same as torrent can be just as fast

also found other ways to get what I want

I just use pirate bay proxy to find the latest pages, lime torrents is ok too, failing that I use onion tor but its a bit basic as is most on the dark web

If you use a mobile phone to browse and also use free wifi hotspots then add a free vpn - opera vpn is free, and easy to setup.

You can also use it with a laptop.

yes i am using opera on my laptop at the moment ..maybe thats why im still able to download on talktalk

was having problems with that site .. my page kept getting hijacked by advertisers every time i clicked anywhere and was driving me nuts .. PB is fine tho

tried it with TOR but i wdnt work ..possibly as i have java disabled for securty

i dont have a tv so i use it a lot and yes it does seem to be the only one that works without getting lots of annoying ads

yes they keep blocking sites but does nothing i still use all the blocked sites through tor or proxys, so it is pointless blocking the sites.

they can try and block it but i wont stop, with plusnet which is bt, havent had any messages yet but i would still continue on, if they sent a letter, cut me off and i will move to another,

even would get my seedbox back up and running if they get fussy i used to share over 3tb every week of torrents, prices are even cheaper now than then. cheaper than paying to see one film.

not sure if i need a seedbox as i dont torrent huge amounts tho i may need a vpn as we'll probably end up with with virgin theyre fastest and i know they'll try and stop me

Make sure you do it in off peak tines as otherwise rhe isp sill get pissy and throttle.

Better yet though use newsgroups/usenet faster and safer and no uploading or sharing

There were some changes in the industry a couple of years ago, all aimed at combating illegal downloading and many ISP's now block sites that offer such a service, and this includes many torrent sites.

The alternative would have been for ISP's to share information on their customers internet activity

.the "alternative" which is now law lol.

Oh btw sonnar/couchpotato.

Automate all the downlaoding then you donr have to bother searching sites anyway

the music and film industry is after the torrent network for themselves.

so they can supply films and games at profit to themselves theyve been trying to close it down for years.

it was the torrenters that proved the network was a success the film and music industry wouldnt get involved with the network.

The industry prefers simple streaming there isnt really any interest in using torrent protocals.

And if they where there is no "torrent network" they need to control they're all individual.

Plus no one is goinf to pay a subscription to something like netflix to be uaed as a free server
