"Far from being an expert, I know with wood burner flues you can have two 45° bends at most... I would think gas boilers would be the same... I am sure your gas company could tell you..." Thanks, I suspected the 90° was a no-no. I've not phoned the boiler people yet as I wanted some impartial advice first.

Each boiler manufacturer will recommend a maximum length of flue and each bend will reduce the maximum length by around 1 mtr It would be best to consult the manufacturers guidelines and speak to a gas safe engineer. Our boiler has 2 45 degree bends and a run of 4mtrs and is still within the recommended length.

"You can get a Flexi-bend flue liner that would probably suffice, but as has been said, best to let a Gas Safe engineer install and give you a certificate of worthiness. I have installed a few of these in the past and they are perfect for the purpose that you describe. "
