I'd say it was more of a tragedy.

Yeah I know the book wasn't great - and the film definitely won't be great - yet I still have a compulsion to go watch it - and drag a fellow fabber with me!

Was dragged along to it the other night with a couple of friends and have to say we laughed for the most part of it. It's not a great movie but a bit of a giggle with some friends.

Read all three books which where average at best, the film is less sexy and definitely less of a turn on. There are much better books around, I have some of them!

Mrs read them and said the last book was the best of the 3, I read them just to find out what the hestaria was all about.

Storm in a tea cup came to mind.

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

Apart from the awful books and even more awful films,

The actual story line shows a total lack of understanding of an alternative style relationship, depicting it as an abusive one on par of that of the bunny boilers of psychopathic characters in other movies (domination through fear and control of all aspects of life) which also manifests in violent sex.

They may have well just depicted Grey as wearing a vest, drinking cans of Stella and appearing on Jeremy kyle...

Utter shite...

Why do you Swingers even bother with this film? You're clearly a trillion times sexier and more experienced than the rest of the world's virginal population.

Surely you should be out fucking everyone in the neighbourhood and spreading your 'sexpertise'...

NOT sat at home bashing out bitchy comments about a shitty film that is clearly put into shade by just one millisecond of your amazing sex lives??

Tried to read the first book, got bored and irritated by the appallingly bad writing so it joined the very tiny list of books I've failed to finish.

Tried to watch the film whilst stuck in a hotel with work, got equally irritated and fell asleep.

I don't think I'll bother with the second one.
