Not defending time wasters but I'm not sure how reliable the distance thing is. I've been sat next to a friend whose on here and our distance was still what it is when they're at home.

We all start somewhere, I wouldn't really classify maself as a swinger, despite ma username. Have been on here for over 10 years now and maybe I've wasted some of my time replying to some women where I thought a meet might be imminent (I'm single, and don't send preemptive messages), I tend not to take things to heart too much if a conversation comes to a halt or just peters out.

If you have made an effort and gone out of your way to meet another person/couple and were let down without prior notice, then yes it is rude and I would be rather miffed about it as well.

It's interesting about the whole time wasters discussion

for me due to how work can be i can end up working an extra hour so which would impact a midweek meet

I would always before the meet say I am coming from work so there is a chance I could be late and explain most people understand

At the weekends I normally know at least 3 weeks in advance what I am doing so I can normally say if I am free to meet or I am at a club. However if I have fallen ill or something then I will let the other person know before hand that I am underweather

For me the ones that I don't like, they show an interest you show an interest back then they go off site for 4 days leading up to meet and then late the day before they confirm and your like we'll it has taken 4 days to confirm sorry but now I have made plans

If people are unsure they should say

It happens alot I'm afraid. I had a social with a guy last wk then arranged a meet. Needless to say he vanished off the face of the earth when it came to the day of the meet.

We are in the USA Los Angeles California. This seems to be the norm. I don't understand it we have pictures you know what to expect we are up front and nothing almost 2 years and only one meet with a guy he lives out of state have played with him twice.
