Yeah another old skool raver here,mim was a regular down at the sanctuary in mk for helter skelter from about 95 onwards. But still love the sounds of acid house, techno, hard house, gabber, happy hardcore, breakbeat Oldskool 91 - 94. And been a dj on and off for the last 20 years, still spinning the vinyl today.

We're a couple of illegal party heads. Caught the tail end of the scene before the criminal justice bill crashed it and spiral tribe buggered off to France. Then we got into the squat party scene in London around the turn of the millennium... some really great fucked up parties. Before buggering off to California and hooking in with the illegal desert raves out there. Illegals all the way... always the very best most nutted parties

Indeed, we only got into swinging after our last illegal party in Spain which descended into an orgy, something we didn't even think actually happened before then. So we're basically a couple of mad heads using swinging parties to get our fix of madness now the illegal scene seems to have finally tanked

Oh yes DIY I think I caught a couple of them too. Sounds like we definitely overlap I ended up getting in with one of the main guys in the spiral tribe crew many moons later. Last thing I heard he joined the circus and buggered off back to France. I do miss all the mad heads. They don't make em like that anymore.

The last illegal I went to was a desert party outside LA about 4 years ago. I've got a really good nose for illegal party heads and someone living in my flat was packing up their car with hula hoops and dayglo sticks so I just pounced on them and asked if they were going to an illegal party. They thought I was a fucking psychic lol Just lucked out and hitched along.

Last year Swingfields went some way to filling our need for a bit of mayhem under the stars. Feeling that need again but no outlet for it yet this year. This threads got me yearning for a good old fashioned hard as bollocks tekno party in the woods again... we can but dream

Thought I'd revive this thread to see if anyone new adds to it.

Old skool fan here, got into house in late 87 and followed it through the 90's and witnessed the birth of rave and hardcore, followed by jungle and d'n'b. Didn't get to any big raves but frequented a couple of local clubs that had a good scene and vibe to them. Still listen to the old skool now because I really don't like the modern stuff. Loved the pirate radio scene in London during the early 90's.

Oh hell yes I was all over the hard house and trance scene in the early 2000's, travelling up and down the country to the superclubs every weekend, getting funny looks from people in motorway service stations at 7am while queuing for McDonalds dressed in luminous cyber clothing with face paint on and eyes like saucers great memories!

Ok so no offence mate but your 42 which means in 88 you were 13 ?? You started raving at 13 ?? And personally i dont think it went like that in 94 at all it was much later than that, agreed it did all go a bit glam etc but there were plenty of undergounf=d scenes / parties way after 94
