"Rub 'em down its the only way" I know it would help but they really aren't that bad - it would certainly help but the aren't particularly foggy (just mildly yellow tinged).

"I had a Volvo back in 2010 which had the dipped headlights permanently on when driving day and night. The "brighter" bulbs only lasted about 3 months." Ouch! I never thought about Volvos!

"What about those new LEDs?" I'd have to do some research but I imagine I'd have to replace the whole headlight unit and those are £200+. Plus I'd rather not look like a boy racer.

"I'd light to get this sorted fairly quickly as it was a right pain in the arse cleaning all the brown stains from my seats. " I don't know anything about headlights but I hear the adult diaper industry has really taken off

"A non sexual topic on a swingers forum? Tut tut. I don't drive very much at night and live in a mildly rural area (no lighting on a lot of roads, catseyes not working, foggy) so I had a very interesting trip last night where I could only see 5m in front of my car. It was character building to say the least. When I finally found civilisation I played around with the levels and found I must have dipped them a bit too much but even so they were appalling. My headlights units could do with being rubbed down and lacquered (13 year old car) but I can't be arsed to do that until for a little while, so I'm looking and getting some decent bulbs. Anyone have much experience/knowledge with these? I've been looking at Osram and Philips +130%, but people are talking about 6 month life spans and that seems a bit... shit! I'd light to get this sorted fairly quickly as it was a right pain in the arse cleaning all the brown stains from my seats. " I used toothpaste onmmy headlights (2001 mondeo) was very suprised at the difference. I usually drive to work at around 0430/5am and i did notice the difference
