Don't mind either but someone else will have to look after the dog duty while I just pet and love it however the cat have to behave and not try to bite me because they can be unpredictable little devils.

The fecker wrapped itself round my legs and tripped me up. Not content with that, it slept on my face same night, almost smothered me.

I like both but I'd choose a dog over a cat any day. They are upbeat and interactive. They are loyal to a fault. And all the walking keeps me in reasonable shape.

Sadly the one we have at present is a bulimic psycopath that came with the house and has "isshhewwss", so we're kinda waiting for her to toddle off before getting a nice pair of rescue cats.

dogs, as i like how they're loyal and you can bath them, take them for walks, train them to play with you.

did have a cat once and she used to wake me 6am scratching my arms to bits and infested my home with fleas then ran off when on heat and i never saw her again.

keep looking at rottweilers, wish i could afford one.

i am trying to save up.

We have an American Akita our first dog after me having cats around me my whole life.

He's far more loving but more needy even if he is a bit aloof & stubborn.

Just an observation though, you NEVER have a cat, it has you and you are definatly the subservient one.

Cat's here. I've got 2, a ginger Tom and a Bengal.............they are both little shits and are forever stealing each others sleeping places. I can't imagine me ever not having cats, great fun and very easy to look after.

Both we have an 11 month old rottie who is so sweet.

A rescue cat who is nearly 9 with some issue's which is why he was in a shelter for such a long time. But he is very affectionate and loving.

And we had a stray kitten come to our house a few weeks ago. No chip nobody has come forward for her and cats protection are allowing us to keep her. She is a real character I can't believe someone just abandoned her.

Dogs. I have a 5yo black lab and 3 male 9 month old cats (all brothers)

Dogs - always excited to see you, will eat pretty much anything you give them, good judges of character, will give attention when you are sad.

Cats - steal your seat when you stand up, lie right where you want to walk then give you a look that could kill if you shove them out the way, line up to take a shit as soon as you clean out the litter tray, think they own the fuckin place.

I don't really get the "dogs are stupid" comments that people come up with. I`ve seen dogs that are smarter than some of the people I have encountered. I`ve also seen some pretty stupid cats.
