You've been chatting via message and the meet has been arranged and then on the day......the excuse came through.

You've arranged a meet but it didn't move to fun because.....the excuse came.

But, we're not daft, we've either heard the excuse before or it caught us off guard because we couldn't have guessed that one coming.

The one we heard a few times was, "My mum has just died".

Others,

"I'm having my period"

"I don't have legs below the knee"

Which ones have you encountered?

Personally I think 'I'm having my period' is perfectly acceptable. Some women don't keep track of them, others have irregular periods.

I rarely have the chance to meet or find those able to so have usually chatted quite a bit beforehand.

If they cancel on the day I've got a good sense of whether it is an honest thing or not. So far I've not had any timewasters.

When I was here as a single, I had to let someone down

Arranged to meet. 5-10 minutes later I had a phone call advising my best mate had terminal cancer.

Suddenly didn't feel like meeting so told the other party.

Did the believe me ?

Did they fuck !

Cue a tirade of abuse

Was I bothered ?

No, I had other stuff to deal with

It does, however, show that sometimes even the most outlandish excuse / reason can actually be true

Hence if someone lets us down, I never kick off. We just send a quick 'thanks for letting us know' message

Period ones are the norm but there not excuses they are life, H is irregular so you can make plans & then mother nature is a week late or early & fucks them up. Try arranging a couple of women, babysitters etc. & arranging something can stretch to months.

Haven't had a cancellation on the day, had a turn up & nothing doing but thats not a cancellation, just a choice.

Just to prove a point, We had a date night planned tonight, just us no one else. The kids were fine yesterday but the eldest has now been sick four times through the night and obviously had very little sleep & looks rough as old boots.

So that's date night cancelled then.

If it's a friend you can still have a social and a laugh.

When i still had periods mine could and would start at any time including when I'm out.

For me I have been lucky to only use the inahve been stuck in the office excuse once but I had been stuck and it had been a shit of a day

Though recently I did have to cancel on a couple because they had gone missing during week then confirmed details late Friday for a Saturday by which point I had vanilla plans

I went away for the night the other week and discovered on arrival at the hotel I had my period... One of those things.

This was on a different sex meeting site. After camming, it came to the meet and 3 days before the night before, she said her mother died and so she cancelled. We noticed she had a mutual friend, so we messaged them and apparently, about a month before our meet, they were going to meet her, but guess what! Her mother died.

So it's one of three things, she has a resurrecting mother or more than one mother or she's a schizophrenic and each one of her personalities had a dying mother at different times !!!

I had arranged for someone to come around at 10. Now, it may just be me, but when i say meet at 10, I expect it 10 or 20 minutes either way. 2 hours later this person was still getting ready. Despite having all the time. So technically I canceled on them

If and when this happens to us, we turn the meet into a nice social, that way they always know that we are not timewasters.

Shit happens and life does get in the way, sometimes it's unavoidable. I'd assume that the reason was genuine and valid.

Surely you can only be considered a timewaster if you DON'T let people know, after all why would anyone pass up the opportunity of a meet once it's been arranged.

My friend's trigger is *very* specific: dark humour or sick jokes.

Tell him something awful about the Holocaust and he just conks out.

They could be telling the truth, once I had to cancel at the lease minute because my daughter threw up at school and I had to collect her.

Another time I had to cancel at the last minute as I got my period 2 weeks early

And....

My mum has actually just died suddenly and unexpectedly.

We messaged the mutual friend asking if they met her or did she cancel. They had left mutual feed back after camming and then leading up to the meet, she said her mum just died. A month later, she did the same with us.

We hadn't replied to her about her mum but we just kept noticing each day that she was on the site for a number of hours. Obviously she needed to cam and arrange fuck meets whilst mourning.

Due to my works back ground, I don't ask with the evidence eg. "Hi, this lady cancelled saying her mum died, what happened with your meeting with her". Can you see.

Now, you can go through some bizarre story changing theory but that's your issue. You're welcome to support her but simply, she's a blatant liar, and you don't like it!!!!! Amaze.

I have no feelings of like or hate about the situation as I wasn't in it.

And you did change the story. To begin with you just said someone said their mum died.... I pointed out that it does happen as I have had to cancel a meet due to a family bereavement. Then all of a sudden it's the second time she has used this reason for cancelling meets. You changed the facts of the story. Not theory, actual thing that you did.

Sure of you know for certain that she called off meets twice with the same reason then at least one of them is a lie. Don't say for certain which one though does it
