have been friends with a couple for about 2 years many meets ,invited them on holiday at ours for a week ,dinners cooked every day ,packed lunches ,daily trips to beaches ,shopping and tours of the island ,kisses and cuddles at the airport ,then find we are blocked on here skype and facebook ,cant belive

they did this .sorry of my chest now

Don't take it personaly, people move on for all kinds of reasons, especially in the swinging world. They probably blocked you simply to avoid having to explain their decision.

I don't know if I'm putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5 but one of your meets is no longer swinging due to the Mrs illness... If you are blocked maybe you cannot see this....just a thought x

I would maintain your dignity and be thankful that at least you now know what they were truly like.

To take your hospitality and then treat you this way is not nice.

But writing about it publically is not nice either.

It must feel horrible to have made all that effort and be summarily dismissed like that. I wouldn't want to comment on the other people since I don't know their side of this and they aren't here to defend themselves.

Did they thank you for your hospitality before they left? Did they ask you to provide all the hospitality or did you do it willingly and of your own accord? Could it be that they had a different idea of how they wanted to spend their holiday?

As long as at every step along the way we don't give too much or sustain an unequal relationship, then it should not leave any debt if it ends.

That's not to say that it's not sad when we lose friends or that there aren't expectations about how we'll act towards each other. If I knew people reasonably well and they dropped contact, I'd assume a crisis or sudden realisation that they weren't good for me.

We can mourn their loss and allow our excitement to build, as we're more available for new things.

My Own Little World

This happened to a couple I know.

They were very close to a couple, met loads, went on weekends away, chatted on the phone and texted constantly. And then blocked everywhere.

It turned out that one of the other couple was starting to feel their partner was too close and it was causing problems in their relationship. So at the end of an argument it was a cut all contact immediately or else ultimatum.

Not saying this applies in your case, but sometimes people do cross a line without realising it. A bit of space is sometimes necessary.
