My current muscle size. What do you think?

I am 6 foot

77.5kg 11.4% body fat.

Should I work out to become 85kg?

Do you think large muscles are attractive or do you think being big is turn off?

Very true, but there's mass gaining working out or being lean.

I can't decide if I want to be massive ore not though.

It's hard to tell from your pic op. How quickly would you expect to gain that additional muscle? If you like the hobby and fitness, plus you'd like your body that way, then go for it.

i love large muscles. best bit about being on here at a weekend is all the big muscled guys messaging.

i'm more likely to slim gym fit guys though, and the occasional average.

I train often, I would just have to eat more and lift for mass instead of tone. I am worried if I get big it will be hard to lose it. Compared to putting it on.

You aren't under 15% at your height and weight.

If you were your definition, striations, etc would be far, far more apparent even without tensing.

Have a look around on here at some of those who train, use Google and search body fat percentages and you'll understand a lot more.

To give you an idea - a pic on here shows me at 16% measured with callipers by a specialist the day before it was taken.

your bodyfat percentage is low already (anything under 10% is extreme,serious athlete territory).

If you're aiming to boost your own confidence, with your physique, then train and be happy. Big muscles and corresponding weight gains, don't make you fitter, Why not look at Crossfit or similar?

Just don't follow the sheep and use illegal hormones, or roids, to bulk. It's not worth it.

At the moment I play train at rugby three times a week, then coach twice for kids. So no matter what I do my body fat stays low as I am very active.

I eat to this structure to maintain weight as well.

3065 calories

370g carbs

205g protein

85g fat

Fitness isn't really the issue in my mind, I tend to see the size of my rugby mates and think maybe I should put some size on. But I can lift and run circles around them for days.

fair enough. You're probably smart enough to have already worked out how and what to do anyway.

I've had a professional sports career, in the 80's through to the early 90's. It wasn't in my interest to be bulky, more lean and strong.

As I've aged, it's harder to keep form and fitness, but it's a daily thing, so it works for me.

Good luck with the rugby, sounds like you've nailed that!

Professional!? Congratulations, I would of gone to college level when I lived in America but decided a spring break jump off a bridge was a good idea which broke my collar bone.

Form and fitness is extremely hard to maintain, adjusting to age is difficult too. My boss has just turned 55 and wanted to do tough mudder after 10 years off. He was a mess, had to teach him to train differently!

I really want to be a physiotherapist so it's good practice.
