This is gonna sound sexist but ..... how the bloody hell do I defrost my freezer that's got 2 inches of ice in it . Been on since 6 pm and still solid ! Kettle after kettle . Steamer , gettin pissed off now !!

Ours has a defrost button.

On older ones I recall just leaving the door open until things thawed enough to shift by hand.

I would recommend against pouring boiling water into a freezer. Or using an ice pick or similar.

Fill a bowl with hot water and put inside. Steam from it will help. Takes time...leave door open overnight and ensure you have something in place to catch the melt.

yup hairdryer but can get messy so plenty of towels and do NOT put the hairdryer right inside the freezer... water n leccy not the best of mates.. lol.

Posh bugger ! Mine was supposed to be frost free ! That don't work either !!!

Turn the power off, open the door, place a few towels on the around it. Leave overnight. Speed the process up by using a hairdryer.

should defrost it when you've hardly any food in it really.

leave it over night, shove a towel on the floor coz it will 'drip', and then the bug chunks of ice should drop off in the morning, leave them in the sink or something.

You could of broke through the lining of the freezer as seens as its hissing. Possibly be in need a new one
