as i agree with some friends of ours comments about the amount of single men allowed into the attic i just thought i might petition them to have a couples only night 1 day a week so thought id put it in the forum to see what kind of support i got if any

They tried it several times... it was not a success. And they only let one guy in for every woman/ couple I believe..

Not ever really seen it as a problem as plenty of couple only areas and the guys always leave you be if you tell them. And if you get an idiot that doesnt.. the staff are very quick to sort it if you tell them

I've never felt like the attic was over run with single men and I've seen a lot of men turned away as they have reached their limit. That said I never feel like there's enough men at any club, but see plenty people complain about there being too many, so thought maybe I just ignore those I'm not interested in so don't acknowledge them.

The attic do normally have a ratio of men to women/couples, you would have been best bringing it up with the staff at the time.

Like stated they have tried a couples night on numerous occasions and it was of no success. There's only so much they can do to try and cater for people's tastes.

its not even that on a gg night.

If you tell them they normally go away or tell staff. Its there reputation but id be very surprised if it really was 4 guys to every couple. As we have been wanting lots of guys and had to wait till more couples have been for the guys to be allowed in.

nooo it has the adult cinema in the day which is single guy heavy but that's kinda the point.

To be fair we havent been on a evening in a while but have friends that regulary do and they often moan about now the guys are restricted

Yes you are asking the club to change. Be it one night or seven. You're asking them to exclude a sector of the scene for your perceived benefit, possibly to the detriment of theirs in the form of reduced revenue.

Does this show that couples who say they are going are let downs though rather than too many guys it was too few couples & you cannot at the last minute say they can't come in if they booked..

I only live 10 mins walk away and have been several times. Only once as a "couple" though, can't say I've noticed loads of blokes stalking couples. If it concerns you OP, have a word with Ron or any other member of staff

Well I was at the attic on Saturday night as a single lady and what others are saying about too many single men and bad behavior has me wondering if we are talking about the same club

There always are a fair few single men but the ratios never seem too far off to me. I thought there was at least 2 couples to every single man last Saturday.

I didn't witness any bad behavior and all the single men I spoke to were very pleasant and respectful. There was one man who seemed very socially awkward and possibly could have made a nuisance of himself but staff were aware of him and keeping a very close eye on him.

The only issue I did see was a d*unken couple who were having a disagreement and staff dealt with it quickly.

I can't comment on other nights - I've only been on Saturdays.

All I can suggest is if you feel that the way the club is run isn't to your liking then maybe you should try somewhere else instead. There are plenty of clubs in the midlands to choose from, I sure you will find one that suits you better.

It would be the staff you'd need to suggest it too. However, you'd have to get couples to support you in at, as like stated it has been tried before and failed, so knowing the clients will be there will be what the club needs to know.

You could put the suggestion to the club but don't expect anything to change. As has been said by other posters they have tried couples and single ladies only nights before and they were a bit of a failure.

Why would you expect the club to make changes just because it doesn't suit you. The answer is to find a club that does suit your requirements.

It may be that one day a month is too much to ask of the club. As the club is run at the moment they have been busy every saturday night I've attended. If they make the change you want they could loose a lot of customers on that night. To compensate for this they would need to hike the prices for that evening. Would you be happy paying £40-50 per couple instead of the usual £10 just to keep out the single men?

We have been to The Attic 3 or 4 times over the last few months. We have had no problems with the single men who attend. We don't look for single men and all have been very respectful when we have said not interested. The club looks after everyone well and if single guys are reported for stepping out of line they would be asked to leave. On the question by OP, we go to a lot of clubs on couples and single females and love the concept and they are always busy nights, so busy some clubs put these nights on 2 Saturdays a month. We always say however don't try and fix something that's not broken and the Attic seem to get it right with it being so busy and a great buzz. The Attic has become our favourite club

We were there last Saturday and left after an hour or so. We found too many single men there for our liking and will be visiting other clubs from now on. We would be interested in a couples only evening if they were ever to hold one but i doubt they will.

Op, as has already been suggested, it appears that the attic isn't to your taste so why not look at other alternatives? Is it because you like how cheap the fees are for the attic in comparison to other clubs so want it to change to suit you rather than paying more for a venue that does meet your preferences

Because those nights have worked and brought in the numbers to make the club worth being open for it, whereas the couples night didn't... That would be my guess anyway.

thank you to all for thier comments and suggestions but i still think given a couple of months notice(so people can plan) a friday or saturday night that was couples only would be a great thing both for the club and its clients yes double the enterance fee i for one would be willing to pay for a night single man free even if was held once every 3 months

When they done it, it wasn't just a one of and fail, it was something that was ongoing for several months, but never took off.

The attic in my own humble opinion, is more for the diversity within it, in that it allows TVs/TS's/TG's on every night, whereas no other club does (that I know of) as they're seen as the least popular. Therefore the attic is a club that does not discriminate and caters for everyone within the scene.

They don't do couples only nights and have no plans to. They are not going to change their mind just because you want it

Nice to see a club allowing single guys in on a Saturday night. So nany clubs where Saturdays are couples only and that's not our thing.

Only been to the Attic once and I think it was a Friday. There were a fair amount of guys there, but not overwhelming vs the couples.

It suited us for our play and the guys were all very resepectful.

he just followed us around and with the attic being a small area we thought the staff wouldnt do owt so it was easier to leave

as for us trying to change the club it was a suggestion and im sure you understand what one them is???

as for the cheap comment money mite be an issue for you however for us you cant put a price on a good time

we tried the attic because its close to home but as i said in my review we will try other places now as well

As a single male I have been disturbed by the way some men act in there respect costs nothing and should always be given

We went a while ago now and were surrounded by desparate single men wandering around looking for a couple or single female. We know that it's a swingers club but why are so many men let in? I'll tell you why. It's because good old Ron and his squeeze deb get a lot more money from single men who are usually married or attached anyway. Of course they have got their hangers on and apologists but it is sad.

We are regulars at the Attic, and have never really thought it to be "over-run" with single guys. On the other hand, it only takes one guy (or girl/couple) to be annoying for your night to be ruined.

I don't personally think that the club needs to restrict single guys at any time, but I do think it would be nice if there was a couples only area... Not just one room, but maybe a social area and a couple of play rooms.

The ratios of men to couples and ladies has been far higher in other clubs that I've visited and they charge much higher prices, allegedly limit male numbers and have a waiting list for male membership.

Even on couple only nights in these clubs there can seem like there is a plethora of men doing the cock conga.

I totally agree. Ive had more problems with single guys at chams than ever at the attic..

Yes the attic is single guy friendly and for that reason a lot of couples/ single ladies go that enjoy that. We dont really go to the attic now ( have popped in occassionally) but we do club events every week.. quest..cupids..chams.. jaydees and many more. To be fair the only place I can hand on heart say we havent ever had an incident personally is townhouse.

But what we will say is that attic incidents have been few and far between... and we used to go there a lot ( reasons for not going are no reflection on the club and miss it greatly)

Worst incident ever for me has been at chams both times. Yes it was dealt with but it made me feel uncomfortable and that is no easy thing too accomplish at a club.. oh and I still maintain that women are far worse offenders than guys and thats at any club

In my opinion it's a refreshing change to find a club that is non judgemental, inclusive and welcomes everyone.

There are some clubs who ask to see photos first and if you don't meet their ideals on looks, age, size etc then you are refused membership. Others don't welcome tv/ts ladies. And of course we have those who don't permit men on certain nights.

Out there in the club scene there are places which will appeal to all tastes, sometimes we have to travel further to find what we are looking for.

We have other clubs closer to home that we could go to but when we go to a club we are choosing to go to the attic over these because we like the inclusive atmosphere there.

I wouldn't say they get a lot more money from single men, in comparison to other clubs. But I also wouldn't say they let loads of single men in, I've seen Dave working the door and turning men away as they have reached the limit, due to how many couples and single women are in on said night. I've seen men hovering around outside awaiting a female to see if they can go in as a couple, but the club spot it and refuse entry if the woman says ok.

All clubs charge extra for men as they know men will pay it and bring in the extra income, not just the attic.

I do find that if anyone has a problem with the single men in there then why bother going? I've never had any trouble from a single guy there and only ever at one club, but have had plenty stuff said to me from couples that wouldn't be acceptable from a single male and even club owners treat situations differently depending on who it was, which in my opinion shouldn't be the case.
