Scariest video games

Who here has played a video game that sent a shiver down their spine and their hairs stand on the back of their neck?

I remember the classic point and click puzzle games the 7th guest and the 11th hour. They sure had a creepy atmosphere and had plenty of scares. What usually creeped me out was seeing an apparition of a woman in a white dress floating either towards or away from you.

What I did find scary was the music in the snes game of The Smurfs. It was in the lake level which is in two parts. The daytime part is ok as it has nice peaceful music but in the night time part, the music is dark, spooky and always gives me the creeps.

Amnesia The Dark Descent.

Played in the dark with headphones on. No other game and I've played a lot gives me goosepimples like that game does even after several play throughs.

Try playing the new resident evil with the virtual reality. It will haunt you for awhile like it did me

I didn't think you said didn't like it? Yes, the whole splicing/plastic surgery gone wrong aesthetic was awesomely creepy.

Alien Isolation was pretty good with the jump scares.

The bit in Bioshock Infinite with the Boys of Silence is really creepy.

But even though it's not a full game PT scared me the most... Such a shame it was cancelled.
