Waking up in the middle of the night panicking you've overslept...

Anyone else have this problem? Since starting my new job I've had it a night or two a week but last night it happened twice! I got to sleep fast enough afterwards - I was still half asleep - but I'm shattered now.

Always happening to me. Usual it's the recurring dream / nightmare of not revising for my finals that wakes me up. I wouldn't mind, but it was 23 years ago!

Yes! Atleast once a week for the last year or so. Very irritating.

I have tried most things -

- bed early

- no good after 6

- no caffeine after 3

- bath before bed

But no. Nothing. It did save me once when I woke up and checked my phone and realised I hadn't set an alarm

VB is forever waking up in the middle of the night panicking she'll be late.

Doesn't give two shits about being late in the morning though.

Not very often but when it has happened it was a very strange feeling, jump out of bed mad scramble for clothes then utter confusion when I check the clock.. thankfully though it's not often.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It happens when I'm stressed about a deadline.

I feel for you. It should pass as you relax into the job and feel settled.

Yes, has happened to me, too: waking up every hour, concerned that I'll sleep in if I have to be up at a certain time, that I don't normally do.

Kind of...

When I was in uni, I'd got back from a full day of lectures on very little sleep, so decided to have a nap...

Woke up at 10 thinking it was the next morning, despite it being pitch black, rushed to get ready, then realised it was 10pm.

The worst is when you wake up at 4am panicked because you have to be at work for 5, rush around get sorted get to work at 5:03 then and only then do you notice it's Sunday and everything is locked up
