Valentines day!

What does everyone think of valentines day?lovely if your loved up but if your not its a bit shite,after all you can buy your other half flowers and chocolates any day of the year and book a table for dinner etc,,its all to make money for the shops lol

Cheesy, but it's something I do because it's nice. And yes, I'm nice at other times. This is just another time that I'm nice.

And if you're busy, tired, whatever, it's a day to maybe kick yourself out of that cycle.

Doesn't have to be massively commercialised or grand.

Valentines Day for me is like a party with open invitations. Great to do for couples but not so good for some single individuals as if you can't find someone to spend it with, you're pretty much out in the cold

I'll be single for the first time on valentines day in a few years. Will also be the happiest I've been on valentines day in a few years

My friend is going through a tough time right now so I've ordered her some surprise chocs and bubbles and a card with a few reminders of how amazing she is.

Being single on valentine's doesn't have to be shite

Meh. We don't bother.

Partially because we know we love each other and there is no point to showy displays of affection.

Mostly because I bought her a house for valentines day a few years back and she knows she'll never beat that.

Boom. Holiday won.

Valentine's Day is usually fabarooney for us as its our anniversary, but alas not this year, we are apart for the first time in 16 years

Mr has gone away with work today, he will therefore be across the other side of the world for the next 10 days

I'm actually feeling really sad, we have never ever been apart for this length of time, I'm so going to miss him

Still I appreciate that worse things happen and some people lose the love of their life forever, so I will just look forward to him coming home safe and sound Mrs blue eyes

We celebrate it with cards and chocolates and this year we are going out for dinner too. However we frequently do all those things anyway. It's nice to show we love each other.

We don't care if others think its comercialised etc. We make our own minds up.
