Would be absolutely pointless as a polygraph can be beaten quite easily. After all if they were that accurate every law enforcement agencies would use them. They would also be used in trials wouldn't they?

Even if polygraphs worked if someone says they don't want to meet you why would you want to have it scientifically confirmed? What would be the benefit? It just reeks of sour grapes.

I read that it is fairly easy to get through a polygraph test, pick a date in your head nothing happened. All your answers refer to the date, you are answering truthfully and you are not telling the truth.
