I read it in a woman's magazine. It's as scary as hell. Unscrupulous landlords praying on vulnerable women. The under cover reporter met some if them and it was shocking. Mainly in London but making its way to a big city near you soon!

It may do. It comes under the concept of freedom or financial independence. R v Kirk where a homeless teenager agreed to sex with a man in exchange for £3.25 to buy food. The court found that the homeless victim merely 'submitted' rather than 'consented'because he had no choice in the matter it was sex or hunger. The women targeted in these situations could perhaps be in a similar desparate situation. Be interesting to see if it gets to this, tho I imagine many lives will be ruined before it gets to this stage.
