"Its a bit like fitting a turbo charger to a busa, do you really need it." Superchargers i can understand more than turbos on bikes due to mainly being rhier for torque increases but on a super duke it seems insane I quite fancy making an r1 into a streetfighter (like a more agreasive MT10) mainly cause rhe R1 frame is very pretty when you take the fairings off unlike most sports bikes. A super charger on that would be good for making it a more useable machine.

"So having a read around on forums while trying to decide what kind of bike to get next year i csme across a thread on a ktm forum TTS performance said they could make a supercharger kit for a 1290 superduke for 6 grand fitted. (as a one off, less if more as most of cost is design work for cnc) Just me or does this sound a very reasonable price for the most terrifying 30 seconds of your life before your inevitable complimentary creamtion?" It would be worth the money just for the sound it makes, I love supercharger whine. And I'm sure being a seasoned/sensible rider you wouldn't blow it up, well at least not for a whole minute

I managed to pick up a streeted 98 red/white R1 for £900 last year, badly advertised on eBay, turned out he'd kept all the bodywork as unlike most fighters it hadn't been dropped he just had a bad back. Came with everything so a weekend of swooping all the bits back & kerchinngg.. Its nice when the odd quick result comes up. Latest sleeper I have here waiting its turn is an ex Performance Bike project from the 90's. YZF750R with a Wiseco 836cc kit in, all fitted & set up back in the day by TTS. Dynochart showing 104.5bhp standard & 129.8 post work. But its a shed & requires a lot of help. Just patiently picking up panels in the right colour scheme at the moment. S
