I use beard oil on mine, currently Spanish Orange scent, as I dye it and and the oil helps prevent it becoming too brittle

Con I reckon. I wash it with shampoo sometimes in the shower, just gets washed with face the rest of the time, soap and water, looks good, not dry or brittle, nice and soft and tidy.

The Mr uses beard shampoo and oils and balms. His beard smells soooo good

I've used oil my whole life. None of this new stuff. Everyone always says my beard is very soft.

Definitely not a con OP, I get lots of compliments because the oils help keep it soft and as the above said smells good.

You can always stop if you don't like it or feel the benefits
