Ok, so this has probably been asked more times then you could shake a SatNav at.

When people say "Local only" how local is local?

The reason I ask is, I've messaged everyone in a 30 mile radius I'm interested in and ether got nothing back or a no thank you (there was a couple of instances where they shown interest, but the conversation was dyer, but thats another conversation)

So my options are now

1. Message everyone again

2. Message people I'm not attracted to

3. Go further out

I'm not doing the first 2.

So, how far away is too far away

However far you're willing to travel. That will depend on your circumstances. I never meet local guys but I do meet fairly locally. For me that's within 1hr travel time. ...but again that depends on the type of meet.

Local is whatever you want to make it.... a trip out to see someone, or a local coffee if you only have 30 mins for a social.

Why would it be a joke, it's a reasonable distance for my county to be considered local.

The longest I travelled was 4 hours give or take and the least was 10 minutes.

Why would it be a joke, it's a reasonable distance for my county to be considered local.

The longest I travelled was 4 hours give or take and the least was 10 minutes. "

I assumed it was joke, read out of context. No harm done

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

For me I have travelled around 150 miles and others have travelled from other countries within the UK.

It all depends on how far you are willing to go or how much you want to spend.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

To me it means people I can get to and from easily using public transport. Selby and Harrogate are local to me, but as trains back to York don't run later than 9 they're useless for meets.

Not too local that I'd bump into them whilst doing my food shop. Not too far that I have to get a train for 6 hours with various stops and connections. I used to meet a guy from the northernest north of England!

I'd drive an hour or so, would make a new cd for the journey.

Have a regular 75 mins away and another 30 mins away. Means sessions are minimum 3 to 5hrs at a time or at night.

When I was meeting as a single, generally local would be anyone I could meet in town for a social, or someone I could get to in a taxi in 10-15 mins. I did find a couple of very local decent guys within walking distance which was very handy
