I have just found a Xmas cake in a tin and have no idea where its come from. It could be years and years old. I wonder if its safe to eat?

Rich fruit cakes do tend to keep well, remember when it was tradition to keep te top tier of a wedding cake to use as a christening cake!

Well that's good to know. Its wrapped in clingfilm and foil. What worries me is i have no idea where it has come from

Nothing. We cleaned it a few weeks ago and got rid of all the shite that had been sitting on top of it unused since before I moved in which was 4 years ago.
