Any other way madness lies.

Unless of course you're using a teapot like a respectable individual. Never put milk in a teapot.

Ah, see. Now.

There's a 'correct' way to do this and then there's my way.

1/ The correct way to make a cuppa Treat your water kindly. Run the tap a little so the water's nicely aerated, and only boil it once to keep the oxygen level up. ...

Add tea and water. Pop a tea bag into your mug, pour over the hot water and stir briefly.

Wait patiently. ...

Give it a squeeze. ...

Customise your brew with milk/sugar

.

2/ And then there's my way (which is much better)

Milk in first

Tea bag in the cup AS YOU POUR the boiling water.

Ideally the tea bag should expand with the steam and sit on top of the liquid.

Add sugar.

Wait until desired colour reached.

Remove...

.

Enjoy

caistor

Working on building sites I grew up drinking builders tea.

Never take the tea bag out until you have finished the drink and never wash your cup, spoils the flavour.

Tea bag, still boiling water, stir rapidly, stir again, tap spoon on side of mug, remove tea bag after squashing it against side of mug.

Add milk until the tea is desired colour.

Add sugar, stir rapidly.

Wash the spoon.
