.

Would you have a cosmetic procedure/minor surgery to improve your self esteem, How far would you go ?

I had treatment on my teeth a few years ago it cost a bit of money and maybe 6 months of visits but it did improve my self esteem and I was pleased with the outcome.

Now, I have "friend" who is concerned about a body part, Its not life threatening, It can't be seen until you get up close and personal or something that can be passed on etc

Its more for aesthetics reasons and removing minor anxiety, Reading up on the subject but still not knowing all the facts it might be slightly intrusive.

Not at my age now, I've got a lazy eye that I had corrected years ago but slipped back a few years after and never bothered to do anything about it, it's part of me now.

I'd like to get rid of my laughter lines and get the skin tightened around my eyes but it'll probably never happen, so I don't lose any sleep over it!

I've had fillers in my lips and I love the results. I'm having them done again in may. Xxx

Nope

We both have insecurities but at the same time are of the opinion 'this is us' and the thought that we'd change that for a series of random meets seems senseless.

If the insecurities ran deeper and affected our daily lives them yeah, it's something we'd consider

Nothing surgical could improve my self esteem. When I lose my desired amount of weight I'll be left with excess skin. Am I prepared to go under the knife for vanity?

I'll get back to you on that one!

I've got an enormous list of things I'd have done if won the lottery. As it is, there's always something more important like my home to spend my money on.

I went private a few years ago to have a cyst removed from my forehead because I was going to have to wait at least 6 months on the NHS and it was really getting me down. So I'd definitely do something similar again.

I'd love perkier boobs, as i get self concious about my nipples which point at the floor, but i have a fear of dying under anesthetic so i risked it for gallbladder surgery but not for my boobs.

Priorities and all that

I'm actually quite enjoying finally accepting my body for what it is. I can't think of anything I would want to change. Which come to think of it, is quite a nice position to find myself in.

Yes, I'm toying with the idea of a boob reduction - once I've hit my target weight I'll decide then.

H would like bigger boobs & I would like some dental work done. But neither are self esteem issues & we'd rather spend the money on a newer car or home improvements. So obviously not that important to us.

no, I'm happy with how I look..

I know someone who had liposuction done on her tummy and thighs, and then six months later she put all the weight back on..

and years ago another woman I worked with had her jaw wired and lost 7 stone over the course of a year, then got pregnant and put it all back on...

In the middle

I'd have a tummy tuck if I wasn't so scared of operations, anaesthetic, stitches and the removal of said stitches or the pain after, apart from that yeah I'd do it

If it makes you feel better about yourself, then yes.

If it's for someone else, no.

Personally, I'm happy in my body and accept that negative changes will inevitably happen as I age.

So it's not an issue for me.

However, it someone is genuinely unhappy with something that can be fixed, does the research and is willing to accept the risks... why not.

My sister had her boobs done years ago, and it improved her self esteem no end.
