A Secret Hideaway In the caravan of love

Have you ever

1 Used a rotary dial telephone?

2 Went to school when students didn't carry cellphones

3 Owned cassette tapes

4 Ridden in a car with no seatbelts

5 Wrote letters to friends and relatives by hand.

6 Played jump rope games, four-square, and hopscotch because Facebook didn't exist.

7 Know what an 8 track tape machine is

8 Turned off the TV because programming was finished for that day

9 Played PONG on an Atari

10 Used an outhouse? Not a Port-a-Potty...a REAL outhouse

For me & Vinny it is 10 out of 10

Ex army, so never had the pleasure of an out house We also had the 1 channel, (BFBS) which was a mix of all the english ones, so it must have run later than the channels did here in the UK. Corrie, easteneders, neighbours, home and away and everything were all on the 1 channel, was a shock when I came to England, didnt know what programmes were on which station lol.

"Tin baths in front of the coal fire?"

Tin baths, were a tremondous find when tipped at the base of shale heaps.

An impromptu sledge for a while, down the shale heap of course.

And they dont make pram wheels ( thus soap carts ) like they used to.

"Have you ever

1 Used a rotary dial telephone?

2 Went to school when students didn't carry cellphones

3 Owned cassette tapes

4 Ridden in a car with no seatbelts

5 Wrote letters to friends and relatives by hand.

6 Played jump rope games, four-square, and hopscotch because Facebook didn't exist.

7 Know what an 8 track tape machine is

8 Turned off the TV because programming was finished for that day

9 Played PONG on an Atari

10 Used an outhouse? Not a Port-a-Potty...a REAL outhouse

For me & Vinny it is 10 out of 10 "

all of the above other than no.9

we never had money for the atari

just loaded us up with rola cola and cheap sweets the thrown out in the streets to run round buzzin our nuts off

10 out of 10 as well, can remember when there was only 1 phone in the street and the woman down the road had to come and knock you up, then came the dreaded party line.
