I've just been told I come across as arrogant, do some people mistake confidence for arrogance, I know I'm not the best thing since sliced bread. What do you think?

I think I couldn't possibly form a judgement based on one side of an argument...

And anyway, life's too short.

Really.

There's better things to do.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It's a fine line between confidence and arrogance.

I believe we are as much what others see us as as we see ourselves. If arrogance is the term used for you by more than a couple of people you might want to reappraise your view of confidence. Or, just ignore it and carry on being happy and confident in yourself.

I'm often accused of being up my own arse so at times I must be.

Is your confidence real or is faux : to hide your insecurities ?

without knowing you I couldn't possibly make such an informed opinion...

but generally speaking, I think men who think they are dominant are often just overbearing or arrogant..

obviously that's just my opinion

Confidence can sometimes be interpreted as arrogance, it all depends on how it's delivered.

I usually think confident people just get on quietly with things allowing others to form an unbiased opinion about them whereas arrogant types draw a lot of attention to themselves and make sure everyone else is left in no doubt about what they're doing, how 'good' they are at it etc.

Wish you well in making changes if necessary..

If we're expressing ourselves and behaving in a style that others perceive to be something like arrogance, then it's potentially great to get such feedback.

There's no right and wrong but it's valuable to get it.

It's pretty good but Lady GaGa is far from arrogant and Scarlett Moffat ( Gogglebox ) isn't exactly confident more ignorant of her own ignorance.

Tickles me how gogglebox people get gogglebox after their name. Happens often. Granny-Crumpet (FabSwingers )

I think this PaFiveCal..........

If you've 'just been told' I mean JUST been told, i'm assuming it's by a total stranger on a swingers site via the message system.

No context, no knowledge of either of you and too many possibilities.

Why worry?

Why worry what strangers on a sex site think?

Be yourself, some will love you, some will hate you, as they do me, but don't change just to suit others.

Better being loved by a some and hated by others than having everyone think you're just alright.

That was what i thought about scarlet. She's very insecure. As for lady gaga. I saw an interview with her once and she was sooooo arrogant. Not answering normal questions. Really taking her time to answer some, to point i was cringing. The things she was saying made me think who the hell does she think she is. So I'd have to disagree with that one.

Yes, I'm generalising, it was just something that occurred to me, I am happy as I am and know that when people take the time to know me, that actually, I'm a nice guy, I think its good to get peoples perspective, debating is good, mass debating not so good lol
