When this site was first created and not alot of guys about 34 messages. On average just a couple now on here. Others maybe 15-20 was max when offline few hours

I got on page 1 of the most fabbed photos way back on an old profile and I didn't have many filters on at the time, and it was well over a thousand in 8 hours.

I rarely get more than 20 a day with filters off though. It's quite easy to stem the flow of messages if you don't want them. Currently I have 2 unread and they've been there all week.

Now we filter probably tenish
