I don't know about wrapping but I'd certainly like to unwrap you!! Lol ;o) on a serious note as long as you find a decent company, the finish can be as good as a new paint job!

They can cover a multitude of sins and done right look fantastic. Also if it's a good paint underneath when you do come to sell it you can rip it all off again and hey presto you've a mint car to sell on....

Not that I want to rain on your parade....BUT your car insurance me be void of you dont disclose it before hand. Some companies may refuse to continue with cover as it may a risk.....

Shouldn't make a difference to insurance. And you don't have to change the registered colour as the original paint is still there and can be seen.

Make sure you a quality vinyl is used. Better ones last longer and look better.

Also use a good reputable installer as allot of cowboys wannabe pros out there are just shit. A better installer might cost a bit more but it's well worth getting the job done properly. Check their work first and make note of the edges of the wrap.

I think wrapping is worth it but bear in mind that they don't last forever.

Just don't go for fluro colours as I did when a race car years ago and have to replace it half way through the season due to colour fade from the sun.

You get what you pay for essentially - a quality wrapper costs that bit more as does quality vinyl but it's worth it in the long run.

My Civic has plasti dip

Similar to wrapping but it's sprayed on instead and sets like a film which can be peeled off.

It is classed as a change to the car, it could make it more desirable to a car thief.

Absolutely right it need to be declared, everything on my car is declared...funnily the only thing that increases the premium is the induction kit

It's a pretty heavily modded audio car and they aren't bothered about any of that
